which api are you talking about? the icinga web rest api is currently 
get only afaik, but the post should/could be implemented with passing 
the checkresult to the command pipe then (theoretically).

the plain method will be to use the commandpipe, with a special command, 

for icinga2, this is planned. final release tba somewhere in 2013.
